Campaign of the Month: August 2011
Le Ballet de l'Acier
Charles de la Mer, sieur de Busigny
Lieutenant of the Royal Chevau-légers
Captaincy – Master
Horsemanship – Master
The youngest son of the baron de Busigny, Charles de la Mer (b. 1594) opted for a military career, serving first as a cadet in Austria battling the Turks for two years and, on returning to France, as a member of the king’s company of chevau-légers. Busigny fought in every royal campaign from 1612 on, rising to the rank of lieutenant of the company.
Busigny is arrogant, but he is a good officer, respected if not liked.
