Église Notre Dame des Accoules
Legend holds the the church of Our Lady of Accoules was built on the site of a temple to the Roman goddess Minerva, near the site of a spring which supplied freshwater to the Lacydon. Originally a chapel of the convent of the sisters of Saint-Saveur, the church and concent were attached to the important and powerful Abbaye de Saint-Victor in 1060. The chapel was expanded and modernized in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries; it is second in size only to the Major in Marseille.
