Knights of the Bath

The Knights of the Bath are English knights created during ceremonies held on major royal occasions such as cornations, royal weddings, or investiture of the Prince of Wales or royal dukes. There is no formal order for the Knights of the Bath; they hold their knighthood directly from the monarch.

The knights wear a small badge with three crows in a plain gold oval; their motto is tria iuncta in uno (“three joined in one,” a reference to the crowns of England, Ireland, and Scotland).
