Solo Game Log - 27 Dec 2011

Nursing sore ribs along with scratches and bruises from his visit to Lo Diable, Urbain retires to his lodgings and summons a physician to attend to his wounds. The sore ribs are bound and a salve rubbed into the scratches left by the trollop’s nails on his neck; the physician’s ministrations cost Urbain 25 livres, but after two weeks’ bed rest the chevalier feels himself again.

The doctor’s visit recoups three hit points to his flank, and a week’s bedrest gets him two more. Another week restores four points of general damage, restoring Urbain to full hit points.

After his close shave, Urbain feels that improving his swordsmanship might help him to live longer; certainly he weilds a decent blade, but he knows La Gautier was better, and it was only by virtue of the trick with his cape that Urbain was able to defeat the bravo. Accordingly he seeks out the master of the Scuola di Cavalcabo, Guy Laplante, and seeks admission as a student at the salle d’armes .

Accordingly Urbain, dressed in his best, pays a visit to the fencing school off the Place de Lanche, to meet the master.
